We arrived in Cancun from Phoenix on 11 Oct 2017 and checked into Hotel ‘Presidents Intercontinental’ . Our travel company ‘Trafalgar’ made all arrangement of Hotel and the Tour.
South-eastern Mexico that separates the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, forms the Yucatan Peninsula. The peninsula itself is home to the Yucatan, Campeche, and Merida. It also covers the northern parts of Belize and Guatemala. The Yucatan is known for its tropical rainforests and jungles.
One of the most advanced indigenous cultures of the ancient Mayans began as hunter gatherers and migrated into the Yucatan around 2500 B.C. During the pre-classic period (500 B.C.-250 A.D.) Mayans built several cities in the Yucatan region, two of the most spectacular being Chechen Itza and Uxmal.
