CATHEDRAL PRIMADA

It is a neoclassical building built between 1807 and 1823 on the drawings of Fray Domingo de Petres. This is the fourth  cathedral built in the same place. It has three naves of the same height, side chapels on each side and a central chapel. The lantern and the dome are at the crossroads of the transept and the central nave. There is the tomb of Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada , founder of the city.
