Capital Denmark

Denmark  is located in northern Europe and is part of Scandinavia. Denmark consists of the Jutland peninsula, the larger islands of Zealand, Funen, and Lolland-Falster and 429 other named islands between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, 72 of which are inhabited.

Nowhere in Denmark is more than 50 km from the sea. And just a few kilometres from Denmark’s major cities of Aarhus and Copenhagen you find idyllic villages and pristine woodlands and lakes. The country was established as a unified kingdom during the 10th century. Denmark is the smallest and the most southern of the Nordic countries and occupies an area of 16,573 square miles. Copenhagen is the capital city and the largest city of Denmark. Arrived in Copenhagen. Visit to Tivoli Garden

Tivoli was so refreshing.  Tivoli Gardens, is an amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen, Tivoli Gardens was founded in 1843 and has become a national treasure and an international attraction.

Be sure to visit the largest of the reception rooms, a hall so vast it can seat up to 400 guests. Copenhagen City tour

The Little Mermaid is the smallest attraction in Copenhagen. It is only four feet tall and she sits by the shore of the “Langelinie” cruise harbor in the old port district of Nyhavn, which is a short walk to the main pier and other tourist spots in Copenhagen. It is the story of a 15 year old Little Mermaid who saves the life of a shipwrecked prince and sets off on a perilous quest to win his love. The price she pays is dear: To become human she must give up her lovely voice as well as her mermaid’s tail, and if the prince should wed another, she will turn into foam on the waves and disappear forever. The Disney version has a happy ending of course, but the real story ends tragically when the little mermaid no longer gets her prince and she transforms into cold sea foam. You will recognize a sad, melancholic look on the face of the statue…

Overnight cruise to Oslo, Norway.
