Irish National Stud Farm & Gardens

The Irish National Stud is a Thoroughbred horse breeding facility in Tully, Kildare, County Kildare, Ireland, and is  owned by the Irish Government. Today, what is now the Irish National Stud Farm takes a somewhat different approach to producing champion thoroughbreds but still excels in breeding global stars of the turf. In the heart of racing country in County Kildare, it is the third-largest breeder of thoroughbreds in the world.

The Irish National Stud & Gardens is also home to two remarkable gardens; the Japanese Gardens and St Fiachras Garden. At the Japanese gardens, visitors enter an oasis of calm as they travel the ‘Life of Man’ path which traces the passage of a soul from birth to death and beyond. By comparison, St Fiachra’s Garden is an inherently Irish garden that symbolizes the power of the Irish landscape.
