SANTA CLARA – HAVANA – VINALES

22 MAR 2019

We are today going to Vinales (3 hours drive proximately). We are taken to the region Pinar del Río. here we  visited witness the process of manufacturing the Cuban cigars – so called puros, also the local places of importance, tobacco plantations and old famous tobacco farms. Cruising the country of tobacco plantations, passing breathless photo stops, going over vintage iron bridges to Vinales and the characteristic hilly landscape (mogotes). We visited the Cueva del Indio and the prehistoric wall. The Vinales Mural de la Prehistoria is the work of the former Director of Mapping at the Cuban Academy of Sciences, Leovigildo Gonzalez Morillo. A master of neo-caveman artistry, Morillo undertook the massive project of portraying world history up until the age of humans on a rock wall in the Vinales Valley. After the tour will end in the Hotel, where we can enjoy the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere of the country-side and take a swim in the hotel’s pool.
