Sao Paulo is Brazil’s largest city, which is also the capital of the state with the same name ‘Sao Paulo’, rich in historical, political and cultural value, a visit is extremely memorable experience of a fascinating country. The city is rich in ethnic diversity that can be seen in its neighborhoods. Because of its heritage and history, Sao Paulo is home to a number of statues, parks, museums and galleries which gives a perfect tourists ambience. Monument to the Flag or Bandeiras is a sculpture in large scale, about 50 meters long and sixteen meters high, unveiled in 1954 opposite the Palacio, headquarters of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Sao Paulo. It is made out of granite sculpture by the Italian Brazilian sculptor Victor Brecheret and commissioned at the entrance of lbirapuera park. It commemorates the 17th century Bandeiras, settling expeditions into the interior of Brazil.
